As a member you will be helping to support Special Strides Therapeutic Riding Center and the Steven Werthan Memorial Fund. Proceeds from our fundraisers provide financial assistance to families allowing their special needs child the opportunity to receive therapy at Special Strides.

Entering our 12th year, Special Strides is a local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical and developmental disabilities. Special Strides uses the therapeutic and healing powers of horses to treat children with challenges such as Cerebral Palsy and Autism. The power of the horse can help a child mentally, physically and emotionally in ways you cannot imagine.

Strides is on The Learning Channel (TLC)!

On Monday, March 30th at 9:30 pm Eastern Time, Special Strides Therapeutic Riding Center will be featured on TLC
(The Learning Channel) for a ½ hour segment of a new program calledTable for 12”. This new series focuses on the Hayes family from Marlboro, NJ who has 2 sets of twins and 4 year old sextuplets. One of the sextuplets, daughter Rebecca has Cerebral Palsy and now receives therapy at Special Strides. We wanted to alert all of our supporters about the episode so you can all tune in and watch the wonderful work that we are doing to help children with special needs.  Don’t forget or DVR it! Show starts at 9pm, it is a 2 part program and we will be on the second segment of the program at 9:30 pm.Click here for details and show times!
